Was saved as an application from Smile, "Startup Screen" box is not an option. That wouldn't explain why it sometimes does work.

I saved it again (with Script Editor) as an application "show startup screen" NOT checked. Now I'll just have to wait and see if I get that nasty Dialog again.

Thanks,

Hi Bob - this is the standard behavior for an application that was saved as a "script application" from Script Editor, with the "show startup screen" option checked.

I suggest opening the offending script and resaving it, either as a plain compiled script, or as a script application with the startup screen option unchecked.

I'm not sure why it would only appear some of the time. It seems like it should appear all of the time, unless the script app happens to already be launched, maybe?

Hi,

OS 10.3.9.

I keep getting a dialog box containing "Press run to run, or Quit to quit.

This mostly occurs with a short script actuated by iKey. It is NOT a constant, seems to occur randomly. Sometime it works normally.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
