Help with a firmware upgrade

  • Subject: Help with a firmware upgrade

In attempting to upgrade the firmware on my Actiontec 1524 DSL router I downloaded a .dmg from Qwest website and attempted to follow Qwest directions.

The package contained an applescript app that I was to run and I repeatedly got an error when trying to run it.

I can't open the script since it was saved as run-only. The error points to another file in the package that contains a perl script as the culprit (Dependency error when setuid at line 18 of start_recovery.pl). T

he pkg is at <http://www.qwest.com/dsl/customerservice/Actiontec1524/ recx_1_60_10_0_71_1524su.dmg>

If anyone has any interest in diagnosing the problem I'll be happy to share an answer with the Qwest technicians, when they get back to me. They didn't seem to be aware that there was a mac product for the router.

Martin
