Excel autorecover

Hi,
Is there any way to disable Excel's autorecover of files using automation (AS/VB/Shell/etc.)?
Is there a way of shutting autorecover off?
If not, where are the autorecover files? I could always get rid of them.

Thanks,
Hanaan
