Even when the system is at fault, it's possible that on
investigation there could turn out to be an easy way for you to
avoid the crash.
And it's possible that your scenario is rare in some seemingly-

OK, message received and understood. Unfortunately, the system has
been re-written to avoid heavy reliance on System Events and previous
crash logs are in stand-alone flight cases in central London. Suffice
it to say I'm not going over there to see whether I can find an old
crash log.
BTW, the stand alone flight cases are pretty impressive. Designed for
high-end digital photographic shoots, you get 2 G5 Macs and an Xserve
together with peripherals (hub, UPS, external firewire drive etc,
etc) all in a solid transportation case. Each end of the case lifts
off and converts into a table. They look really neat. (Probably got a
neat hire price too - but then if the talent is costing you $50,000
per day, a grand (or whatever) equipment hire is chump change).
