Why not simply drag it onto the icon of Script Editor in the Dock?
For me it's not all that convenient to try to locate an icon in the Dock, given the number of applications I'm usually running.
Personally I think I'll just with double-clicking the droplet opens it for editing, since my droplets are usually "strictly droplets" and don't present file choosers when run manually. I was just brainstorming possibilities for working around the circumstances Laine presented.
