... and I was wondering what the best way to save an AppleScript would be to use it? I'm leaning towards saving it as an application, with the "Run Only" box checked, but I was wondering what you and others on the list think. Any gotcha's I should watch out for?

As per Michelle Steiner, saving the file as 'Run only' will prevent future editing.

However, you can save the code as a script and / or application (without check marking the 'Run only' check box) for future editing; but, then also save a copy as 'Run only' for placement on the Macs of others. This way, the others can not see and / or edit the applet's code; yet, you can edit your (scrip or application) copy if and when needed. _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
