Hi,
I'm looking for the most efficient way via appleScript to get an
images IPTC metadata, given the file's path.
So far all the methods I've found involve opening the file in an image
editor (photoshop, graphics converter) and getting the info there. Is
there a way to do this without opening the photo for editing?
Personally I use EXIFTool via do shell script; it's very flexible and
free, supports read/write of many flavors of image metadata, and many
file formats.

Enjoy!
