The users are creating new mails from a mix of copy/pasted text and
original text entered in Mail. We need to strip these mails of
certain characters before sending out... the easiest way (in terms of
workflow) is to do it as a last step before sending within Mail. But
clearly this isn't so easy in Mail...
Yes, I need to process the contents of a new message. As far as I can
tell, these *aren't* automatically saved to Drafts, which is why I
was asking about processing text from the frontmost editor window...
t'would seem to be a straightforward endeavor.
I'm going to try doing it with GUI Scripting so I don't have to
remind the user to do anything but run a script (from the Dock
perhaps). Identifying which message in Drafts is the current
(frontmost) one seems dicey (based on subject perhaps?)
I knew there was a reason I avoided Mail.app scripting.
