Error type 1

Hello,

I am stuck. Here is the script I have that works in OS 10.4.

do shell script "ipconfig set en1 MANUAL 192.168.1.3 255.255.255.0" with administrator privileges

After inputting the user password all is well in 10.4. In 10.3.9 I receive an error message "An error type 1 has occurred"

I have tried the following but with no improvement in the results:

Telling it to use the bash shell
do shell script "/bin//bash ipconfig set en1 MANUAL 192.168.1.3 255.255.255.0" with administrator privileges

I also verified that the shell command works in the default sh shell that AppleScript uses, and the command works fine in terminal.

Is this a path issue, or what?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jack
