Hello,
I am stuck. Here is the script I have that works in OS 10.4.
do shell script "ipconfig set
en1 MANUAL 192.168.1.3
255.255.255.0" with administrator privileges
After inputting the user password all is well in 10.4. In
10.3.9 I receive an error message "An error type 1 has occurred"
Such an error message (somewhat confusingly) means that the shell
command exited with a return code of 1.
What happens when you execute as root:
ipconfig <your args>; echo $?
from the command line, under 10.3.9?
Could you show us the output?
HTH,
Axel
