Actually, this is inaccurate.  Smile /can/ open raw XML, but that was not
the reason I suggested Smile.

Smile (and the scripting additions installed with it) offers a full range of
Plist and XML commands.


So, one does NOT need the Property List Editor from Developer Tools (which
is a huge install that most casual users will not install). Smile can
provide the same abstract interaction with XML data.
