IMHO the trash should not be emptied without giving the user an option to
cancel.
A script moving things into the trash is not a problem if done in
moderation.
The version I posted simply moved an empty folder with the same name as the
script that created it followed by a number into the trash. Giving it a tiny
bit more thought, I think I would probably adjust the handler so it would
create a new folder, once every run, not once for every file it moves. That
would be a bit more efficient and wouldn't fill the user's trash with
numerous folders (and I'd do it and post it if it were actually solving a
real world problem for a real world scripter). Or even better...
Michelle's version didn't move anything into the trash at all, but left the
folder in temporary items folder, which is not a problem at all and why we
have a temporary items folder in the first place and also why Michelle (I
think) first recommended using temporary items as a solution for this
thread.
