Automation Sans Window Server

  • Subject: Automation Sans Window Server

Why must AppleScript connect to the Window Server? I think it would be very useful if AppleScript would connect to the Window Server only if the target application required it. That way I could "automate" a non- gui application while I'm logged out of the console. If there's a way to do this, please let me know. If not, I ask that Apple please implement that capability.

Paul
