Applescript is "incredibly slow" in Leopard. Just simple repeat scripts going through Finder folders to make changes takes 2 to 3 times longer than in Tiger. And it just seems to be getting slower with the 10.5.2 update. I have two questions:

(1) Why so slow? - is this an indication that Applescript just hasn't yet received the attention it needs in these latest builds of 10.5?

(2) Is there any hope for seeing blazingly faster speed for Applescript in Leopard? If so, how long will we have to wait to see speeds get reasonable again?

We don't think that AppleScript is slower in Leopart. Maybe you are experiencing some Finder-specific problem.
