I am finding that even if I set the object style palette preference "Clear Overrides When Applying Style" to false, with no document open, immediately quit and relaunch, the preference is again checked. I've also tried setting the setting with an AppleScript, but the result is the same.
How can I turn that setting off indefinitely? Do I need a startup script to manage that? (If so, it seems odd.)
On the subject of CS# application startup scripts, does that have to be built into the JavaScript of
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CS3/Adobe InDesign/indesign-5.0.jsx ,
or can other AppleScripts be put into that folder?
