Mailbox Groups
Mailbox Groups

In Tiger, Mail's mailboxes were grouped into one of: inbox, sent,
trash, junk, drafts, outbox, smart, dotmac and onmymac. These groups
were not formalized in Mail's dictionary and there was no command to
determine the group of a mailbox, but mailbox behavior was consistent
and I was able to write a handler to reliably determine the group of a
mailbox.
In Leopard, the groups are:
inbox
sent
trash
junk
drafts
outbox
smart
dotmac
onmymac
reminders
rss
(if anyone has a group that I don't have, please let me know!)
The mailbox properties, especially for reminders and rss, are so
inconsistent that I doubt that I could reliably write a handler to
exclude rss and reminders. (I been trying to find something most of
the afternoon.) In addition to the mailbox properties: name, unread
count, account and container there ought to be a 'group' property that
would return one of the items in the list above.
Should I file a bug report feature request? Or what?
