Takaaki,
Thanks for sharing these ideas you are exploring. I think they're
fascinating.
This is a unique kind of list post, and I appreciate it. The use of the
image is helpful.

Quite interesting.
Though not the same at all, this reminded me of a news graphic of the
forensic analysis of the Enron email system in the weeks and months prior to
its implosion.
I did save a copy of that graphic, but I can't easily locate it now (it's
zipped up in a folder.) It's probably just as quickly 'googleable' (Oy,
vey!)
On a note more closely related to your usage, you might consider reading
about RDF and see how that might influence where you go with your email flow
mapper. I would be that there are some interesting ways to "see" the
patterns in one's large collection of email by bridging RDF to visual tools
like yours.
I use Mind Map and have played with some other of those kinds of tools.
They fascinate me.

A clever use of email client's rule processing. Your own "smart folders". I
like it.
Rules acting on mail folders are like 'folder actions' in email, I've always
considered. I love folder actions.
Good stuff.
