Sorry Mark. Not intended in any way to sound defensive. I was just
trying to add back context where the original quotes had been deleted.
As for Acrobat, I was just confused about where Acrobat had come from.
Nobody had mentioned it before. In fact, Acrobat's scripting is pretty
lame. Applescript, in particular, is as close as possible to
nonexistent.
Emphasis on VERY was just intended as that--to convey that it is very
common.
Again, sorry if I came across as defensive.

You sound a little defensive, David? I'm sorry if I ruffled any
feathers; my message was not intended to be critical. It was genuine
puzzlement, not snark. I thought maybe there was some partnership
between Adobe and FileMaker I didn't know about.
As for publishing habits, I will happily take your word for it; I
know nothing about who uses what in that industry. :)
