Hi,

Finally got the solution. "localized string" call should be outside of tell block as follows:

with timeout of 30 seconds
set theAttachment to POSIX path of "/status.zip"
set s to (localized string "MailBody") as Unicode text
tell application "Mail"
set theMessage to make new outgoing message with properties {visible:true, subject:"Test", content:s}
tell content of theMessage
make new attachment with properties {file name:theAttachment} at after last paragraph

end tell
end tell
end timeout

I don't know how to set locale on a per-application basis. But if you
can find out what Mail's locale is, then you can replace the "zh_CN"
in your string list with the right value, after which your script
should work.
