Creating A Custom Menu Item in PowerPoint w/ AS

I am looking to add a custom menu item to Microsoft PowerPoint. I have successfully added the menu item, but I can't figure out how to tie an event to it. If anyone has had any experience with scripting MS Office, I would appreciate the help.
