When I'm writing code in AppleScript Studio, can I access application dictionaries directly? Or do I have to go through Script Editor? Please, no third-party solutions.

I think the answer you're actualy looking for is:

Yes, you look at the dictionaries in the Script Editor.

Philip's answer is for displaying dictionaries with an AppleScript studio application, which seems to me to be a much more complicated question than the one I suspect you are asking.

Jon += 1,

Gotta say it never crossed my mind there was an alternate interpretation to the question :-)
