I guess I'm sub-consiously fighting this stupid concept of needing permission to access my own computer.

I'll move everything and see what happens.

Why not just store the plist in ~/Library/LaunchAgents?

Unless you particularly want it to run for other users or when you're not logged in? I store all mine in there and have never needed to set permissions.
