I've used Url Access Scripting before, but found it to be quite unreliable. I've read similar negative comments from others posted on the web. I think it is loaded automatically when you use Mac OS X.

I'd recommend using a shell script with Curl instead, much more reliable. We use Curl for FTP uploads and downloads.

On the same subject of "unreliable" scripts, I've had horrible luck with using Apple's "folder watching" feature. It sometimes takes forever to trigger, other times never triggers at all. Similarly, I've read bad things about that as well, so end up writing my own custom folder watching scripts.

Just curious, has anyone found either URL Access Scripting (or folder watching) to be reliable? Or special "tricks" to make them reliable?

For now I avoid them both...

- Jeff
