FWIW, I've put a few example projects here:
<http://www.scriptingmatters.com/ASObjC> (and the first one ahs recently
been updated to correct some, um, speculation). The focus is on using
vanilla AS where possible.

Craig Williams's video might help you, and in at least one of the samples
I've included IB tooltips to explain the connections.
