Oh, TextWrangler, where would we be without you?

Can someone explain the problem with TextEdit's find/change dialog? Not being able to use \t (tab) \n (newline) \r (return) etc., makes it pretty hard to do anything with it...

TextWrangler LOVES tabs... \t
