OK, to start this off, I am a relative "newbie" with applescript. I hope that someone on this list can give me a little bit of help, some advice, and/or examples of how to proceed.
The business I work for has just started a move back to MAC's as a choice for our work computers.
The problem we are encountering with Outlook 2011 is this:
Some of our users want to setup an Outlook 2011 rule to move any messages they receive that are meeting notices to an offline folder.
If I create a rule on the server I can choose message "Kind" is "Meeting Request" but it won't allow me to choose a local folder to move the items to - I can only pick from folders on the server.
If I create a new rule on my computer, there's no option for message "Kind" so I can't specify "Meeting Requests", although I can pick my local folders.
Several sites that deal with questions users have on Mac Outlook 2011 have said the same thing when they have this issue. One site did mention having created an applescript and run, and when the kind is a meeting request, the message is moved to an off line folder... However this post did not have an example of the applescript and truthfully I don't know applescript well enough, so I cannot immediately validate this as an option.
Does anyone here have an example of an applescript that would do what we are trying to do?
How do I find out the applescript dictionary and usage for Outlook 2011?
Joseph Getchel
