Title: Re: Adobe PhotoShop equiv to InDesign's
Hi Will,
I don’t see anything else in the dictionary for Photoshop. My thought is that it’s always really sketchy to try to use your computer while a script is running, especially Applescripts. Even PS batch actions don’t always stay in the background. Was it a script you wrote, or someone else made? If the script makes calls to the Finder for snagging files, it can really wreak havoc if you are trying to also do things with files. Even if the script doesn’t specifically call Photoshop to “activate”, there is a chance it’s gonna pop to the front while you are doing things.

Here’s an idea: can you make a new user on your computer, and log in (using the fast user switch) and start a process in that user, then switch out back to your normal profile? I’ve never done that and I don’t know if the process is suspended for the other user.

Chris
