Yeah I agree Chris, I just need to exhaust all possible solutions before taking that to them, so if there’s a workaround, I’ll have to take it. There’s more than one way to approach our current challenge, including none AppleScript approaches. If it turns out we need a plugin/Scripting Addition, I’m going to have to take a none AppleScript path.

And it’s not just you, this topic has come up before- everyone needs to be realistic and open to installs when it can efficiently advance the job requirements. Or you make your case to the IT managers as to how much time/money it saves in the long run.
