Gil,

I use InfoWallet (http://www.infowallet.com) not only for passwords but all kinds of other personal information and it has a number of handy features that make authenticating to websites and other applications fast and easy. Full disclosure I am the author of InfoWallet.

You still have to open InfoWallet to be able to access your passwords but that is going to be true with any program if you want your data to be secure.
