I’m afraid that we will never see that. Before GateKeeper we were able to edit a plist file in Preview so that the app took benefit of the Standard Suite. When I tried to apply the change on the Preview app delivered with Maverick, the app — logically — refused to run. I reinstalled an original version and, when I must manipulate PDFs with AppleScript, I use Skim.
