UI Scripting For Custom App

  • Subject: UI Scripting For Custom App

Hi all,
I have the Magic Jack phone service, and am trying to script its application for VoiceOver access. Out of the box, VoiceOver just says “unknown,” except one element which says it’s a “location picker”. However, when I try something simple, like just getting the names of the top-level UI elements, I get “script editor is not allowed assistive access”. I’ve tried adding SE to accessibility in the Security/privacy pane of sys prefs. It would appear that I can’t add the Magic Jack app, as it’s in a hidden folder titled “.magicjack”. Is this app most likely one that will not respond to any UI scripting? Thanks :-)
