I remember seeing these and not using them, and this is intended more as a
self criticism than criticism of anyone else, but with AppleScript, if I
can't look at a script and easily tell what it's doing and how to make it
work (not how it works), then I'm not very likely to use it.
(AppleScripting is not my day job).

That's why I'm thinking about doing a version of version of Jon's smart
strings using SDF, so all I have to put in my script is a nice clean
english like applescript command and result. And if needed a dictionary
entry that explains what's going on.

If I can make it work with Jon's stuff, I'll try with these, too.
