Thanks. That's handy.
I've already removed the osax, but I'll keep this in mind for if/when it returns and for similar situations.

I have DetectX on my system, but I didn't realize it did a diff – so that's good to know.
Some time ago I wrote my own detector script for Bash and aptly named it `mal`.
I run it periodically by hand, and since the Terminal runs 24/7 on my system that's pretty easy.
I do need to improve the script and run it more often via an automated process though.
