Sounds like a Script Editor bug! How did it do outside the editing environments?

SD is not a panacea, but it is a valuable tool, especially in a case like this where one is trying to track down a bug in an appleScript.

One hour ago I had an exchange on macScripter about a script which behave flawlessly under ScriptDebugger but crash under Script Editor.
So it appear that the expensive tool is not a panacea.
