I was adding support to your comment that the documentation is not written at a level appropriate to the people who are likely to use it, but I meant in general rather than specifically about properties and elements.
I’ve added properties to SDEFs in my Cocoa apps in the past, but I barely understood what I was doing. I grasp it better now, but the documentation didn’t help. Although the video is (I think you’re right) exemplifying commands, params and enumerations, it does a good job of explaining the overall conceptual nature of what one is doing in an SDEF within a practical exercise and without introducing overwhelming detail. Same can’t be said of the written documentation (which is a shame, because I hate learning by video and much prefer learning from text).
As for Scripting Libraries, hah. I only had my first crack at that a couple of weeks ago. I’m not convinced yet that they’re much use to me, but I’m following the discussions with interest.
