Dan, thanks for sharing this info about HyperCard.

In addition to its millions of users, it clearly had a lot of potential.
Another bad decision by Apple (to cancel it).

Nonsense. '90s Apple was bleeding cash. It needed PRODUCTS that would SELL, and fast. HC wasn't selling; hell, it wasn't even getting built (HC3 and its team was in total chaos). Way healthier MacOS techs got the ax simply cos they didn't fit into the product Steve DID have in the pipe (OSX).

If the HC team couldn't even sell HC to users, how on Earth would they sell it to Steve Jobs? Gone, good riddance, move on.

No room for sentiment in this business.

Now, have you all filed your Radar tickets yet? (http://lists.apple.com/archives/applescript-users/2016/Nov/msg00077.html) Some steaming moron tried to start a "Save AppleScript" petition on change.org seeking 200! signatures and mustered 131!!! Might've well have hammered the coffin nails with a performance like that. (There's a reason I *chose* "Black Hole of Calcutta" *Radar*, y'know.)

Less flapping, more direction. Good start.
