G’day Patrick.

I should have elaborated. My App is a startup item, with the Mac set to restart after freeze, or power outage, and with no log-on password.

However, whilst it offers to ‘standby’ for an interruptable period up to 10 minutes, if the operator wants to, they must be able to Quit it; so, it has a ‘Stop’ button, that Quits it at a suitable time.

2551Phil (I now assume you’re a different Phil from Phil Stokes), thank you. I’ll persue trying to ascertain any memory leakage. However, I’ve struck a problem. I’ve downloaded Xcode 8, and tried to re-build my two scripts comprising my main App, and it’s failed on the second script. I tried opening the second script with Shanes Explorer 4, but it crashes on trying to Compile.

I’ve sent the script and crash report to Shane, but it’s 6:16am here, and it will be a while before he gets around to checking his email, I think.

I appreciate the advice from everyone.

Regards

Santa

If you really need this running all the time what about creating a Launchd script that runs every minute that would check if your app is running and if not launch it?

My App MUST run unattended, with the operator at night and weekends only responsible for picking up image printouts (up to 700 per day). The period of re-start is menu settable,

And what, you ask, was the beginning of it all?
And it is this......
Existence that multiplied itself
For sheer delight of being
And plunged with numberless trillions of forms
So that it might
find
