I think Script Debugger is full of bugs. I can’t use it to open my main App project, cause it crashes, then on re-opening offers to send an error message, which I’ve done. ‘Illegal statement’, but does not say what or where. Shanes Exporer still works fine.
I was going to ignore this, but that first statement is straight out defamatory and it's going to end up in the archives where maybe some newcomers will find it, so indulge me. Disclaimer: I'm involved in developing Script Debugger (although not an official spokesman), as well as the above-referenced "Exporer".
Yes, both apps have bugs. Contrary to the statement above, Script Debugger does open the project in question. It crashes on compiling it, which is obviously a bug. It may take some time tracking down the problem because it doesn't happen with other documents -- but then they generally don't contain more than 10,700 lines of code.
Perhaps this isn't the OP's only bug, and perhaps he has a long list that he has never shared with us. But to baldly call out an app as "full of bugs" without attempting to contact the developers is, I think, rather sad. It's not like the OP doesn't know whom to speak to.
If the aim is to drive out one of the remaining third-party developers catering to scripters, then perhaps it's a clever thing to do. But if it's someone lashing out because they're having a bad code day, it doesn't belong here.
If the OP is unhappy, I'd be glad to refund him his (discounted) purchase price.
I was a bit loose with my wording.
You can say that again.
