It's not quite the same, though.
First of all, the list server is clearly being neglected, and nobody would be
surprised if the plug was pulled at any time.
However, it's entirely possible that the Xcode decision is unrelated -- it may
well be something as simple as the list moderator moving, and either no
replacement volunteer being found, or someone suggesting it would be better all
in one place. In other words, it could simply be a decision taken by the Xcode
team in isolation. Or it could be the guinea pig. We don't know.
However, the Xcode advice is to use the Apple developer forums instead. That
might make sense from the Xcode team's point of view, but there are two
AppleScript lists, one for users and one (almost moribund) for developers.
Moving the latter to Apple's developer forums might make sense (ignoring how
bad the forums are), but does a "user" topic belong there? Scripters blur the
line: in one sense they're developers, but I don't think many consider
themselves to be.
