It's not really free even then...unless people live in a wonderland

where bandwidth is free.
The bandwidth costs the same if you use it or not unless you are someone
that has a pay as you go dial up service.

There are several choices. You forgot the one about "put up with the OS

version you have now"
I ask this list how is your MUG doing with the division between OS 9 users
and OS X users? We need to have opportunities for our MUG leaders/members to
assist with a transition to OS X. Costs of upgrades ARE an issue. If the
costs of OS X upgrades results in MUG members having more than 10 operating
systems we will be wasting our time trying to assist in trouble shooting for
our members. I think we have already seen the beginnings of this on other
lists.

No? How much does it cost to burn a CD, get it printed, produce the

The beginning of this thread was pertaining to Apple not allowing the
distribution of the upgrades on CDs made by and distributed by MUGs or other
individuals. This costs very little. If Apple wants to make a mountain out
of a molehill than that is their problem. I just maintain that $19.95 is too
much.

I thought it over and remembered that we were talking about upgrades.
