Randy,
Bandwidth can be a major issue. What you mistake as bandwith is just
client access,
Bandwidth has to do with the site itself. Apple buys the bandwith to
give us access to their site.
This is something that gets confused all the time.
Recently I met Harry Knowles who runs the 'ain't it cool" site.
Bandwidth became so critical
that he almost went out of business. He explained that his site was
receiving a million hits a day
which exceeded the agreement. He moved to a new provider of bandwidth.
If you go to his site now,
it is much faster. Cary Lu also wrote a great book on the subject. I
highly recommend it.
David
