Our group used to rely on our program chairman to bring his computer or
have the speaker bring one to do their demo on. We finally bought a G3
laptop, when they first came out, and have been using it on a monthly
basis since. This has relieved our program chairman from having to bring a
car load of equipment to our meetings. We do allow the member to take the
laptop home to load his/her software on it and to practice using it before
the meeting. We are currently looking at purchasing a newer laptop to
handle OSX.

Some of our presenters, members and non-members, bring their own computers
to do their demo, but mostly we use our laptop.
We encourage all of our members with a laptop to bring them to our
meeting, more for others to get excited about getting one, this would
allow us to borrow one if ours failed.
We are currently meeting at a public library. They have a projector that
we use for FREE!
In the past we have meet at a business that had a auditorium and they let
us use their projector and room for free as well. They even gave us the
projector when they upgraded all of theirs.
