I have been planning to begin a Amazon Affiliate program for our User Group
website or a subsection of it for a while. Problem is our webmaster LOVES
moveable type and it makes it difficult to configure the HTML code for the
links.
As far as sales goes, I9m sure most software and book publishers are
concerned about TOTAL UNITS SOLD so if O9Reilly sells a Pogue Missing Manual
or Adobe moves a Elements off their respective sites or via Amazon (which
kicks back a percentage for the click) I9m sure in the end they will be
happy.
What U may wish to do is start doing PRODUCT REVIEWS for Amazon on various
companies products which also helps the respective companies and may also
help promote your user group.
Just my two cents...
