Apple Stores and User groups

We here in Chico now have an Apple Store within an hours drive of us(Arden
Fair Mall in Sacramento). I am planning a trip down to see it, along with
our VP, and am hoping for good results. From the comments on this thread it
sounds as if it is a hit or miss proposition.
We were able to get an Apple employee from a CompUSA to come and do a Jaguar
demo for us and it was a very good presentation. As a carrot to get him up
to visit us we took him out to dinner on the group. Free food always seems
to be a good draw.
We have no Apple dealers here in Chico other than the bookstore at Chico
State. They seem to take issue with us helping our members with
upgrades(i.e. Hard drives, RAM, etc.). They would prefer that we send them
all our members as customers. Consequently, they will not let us put out
brochures or fliers about upcoming speakers.
