As long as you are running iChat AV on a supported Mac (on both
machines) you can do a one-way video chat by highlighting a buddy in
your list and choosing "Invite to one-way video chat" from the
"Buddies" menu. They will see your video stream and can hear you and
you will be able to hear them back through their Mac's built-in
microphone (or other external mic). A video camera, such as iSight, is
only required on one machine.
