I host a digital video SIG for MacGroup-Detroit, and being the shy type
I just let the host/speakers wing it! We mainly like to get together
to network anyways. Also, we have an afterglow to our main meeting, we
all go out to eat afterwards for a major mingler! Some of us even hang
out in the parking lot at the restaurant to chat after the afterglow.
We have guest speakers, club members do a demo, or tours (TV
station/audio studio etc.). We sometimes attend other meetings as a
group (Maya demo). If your club doesn't have enough members to get a
speaker out it might be a way to get to do some cool things (go as a
group).

How do you run your SIGS? Is there a structure to it? Is there a
lesson or
a topic for each meeting? Is your SIG just sort of a "winging it"
atmosphere? Do you ever have guest speakers?
