Hey all,
As the local Apple Solutions Consultant at the CompUSA in Emeryville,
I'd like to share CompUSA's weekly/biweekly Mac deals with you. This is a
list I put together, mostly from their national ad. I like to call it:
Trader Joe's CompUSA Apple Shop Deals for the Week:

-200gb Maxtor internal ATA hard drive for mirror drive door PowerMacs.
(earlier PowerMacs need a controller card to see over 137gb)
-PNY 512mb PC2700 laptop memory for current PowerBooks, $79.99 after
rebates. Great special!
-Microsoft Wireless Desktop Elite keyboard and mouse combo, $69.99 after
rebate
-Linksys PCMCIA Wireless G card, $39.99 after rebate. This is the one that
is compatible with PowerBooks running 10.2.4 or later. Apple abandoned you
by discontinuing the Airport card? CompUSA has the answer!
-Linksys 5-port Ethernet Switch, $29.99 after rebate.
-Linksys PCI Wireless G card, $39.99 after rebate. This is the one that is
compatible with PowerMacs running 10.2.4 or later. Apple abandoned you by
discontinuing the Airport card? CompUSA has the answer!
-Epson RX600 photo all-in-one with LCD screen, $299.99 after rebates. Also
combinable with $50 off coupon with a Mac purchase.
-CompUSA 1gb USB 2.0 portable hard drive, $59.99 after 2 rebates. I would
still rather have an iPod mini, but 1gb for $60 isn't bad.
-Logitech MX510 Performance optical mouse. The best wired gaming mouse out
there, $39.99 after rebates.
-Acomdata 250gb USB 2.0/FireWire external drive, $179.99 after rebates.
-Memorex 50 CD-R disks for $9.99
-PNY 128mb PC133 desktop memory for older PowerMac G4s and iMac Slot
Loading, some eMacs. $29.99 after rebates. Give that Mac some extra oomph
and FINALLY install Panther on it already!
-Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse for notebooks, $29.99. Bluetooth
Shmuetooth. Unless you have a PowerBook with built-in bluetooth, you need
an external USB device and it's just a buzzword. Get a good small 2-button
wireless mouse with scroll wheel for cheap.
-CompUSA brand USB 2.0/FireWire enclosure, $49.99. Build your own hard
drive/CDRW/DVD-burning drive for less! May require Toast for DVD drive
compatibility.
-Seagate 160gb internal ATA hard drive, $59.99 after rebates. What do you
get when you combine this deal with the one above it? An external 160gb
firewire drive with Seagate quality for $110! By comparison, LaCie uses a
less reliable Maxtor or Western Digital hard drive for $150, and
that's not
acceptable to Trader Joe!
-PNY 512mb PC3200 RAM for iMac G5s, $69.99 after rebates. Upgrade that new
iMac G5 for less than an Apple Store!
-Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical. Your Basic Optical Mouse with scroll wheel
and right click. $14.99.
-Linksys 8-port switch, $29.99 after rebate.
-Seagate USB 2.0/FireWire 200gb hard drive, $199.99 after rebates. Compare
that to the LaCie 200gb using a lesser hard drive for $229.00 at the Apple
Store.
-Belkin USB 2 7-port hub, $39.99 after rebates.
-USB 2 floppy drive, $29.99 after rebates, for those with OLD PCs or Macs
who are buying a new one and want to transfer info on floppies to the new
one.
-Voyetra/Turtle Beach MIDI to USB 2 adapter. Connect your MIDI
keyboard for
less and throw out the PC software that comes in this box! $29.99,
guaranteed compatible with 10.3
-USB 1 4-port micro hub, $9.99 after rebate.

rebate with Mac purchase.

towers. $239.99.
Thanks for your time, and if you would rather see this in another format
or up on the Yahoo Group page rather than in email, please let me know.
Thanks,
Joe
