Ergggh! I keep sending messages to the list from a wrong email address
and then have to forward again using correct email address. Oh well, I
am moving soon and will be losing one of my email addresses so things
should get a bit simpler.

That's just my opinion and I could be wrong. What do you think?
I think this would be an eminently fair approach as long as everyone
in the room was an angel and everyone followed through on their best
intentions.
The problem I see with this approach is that you obviously do have to
give the person the software in order that they can install and review
it, but then someone else is going to have to take on the job of first
recording who got what and under what conditions and then the more
obviously challenging and possibly distasteful job of chasing down the
winners to get them to submit their reviews on time. And to be the
strong man at some point and demand the prize back or take away their
future raffle privileges if the reviews are not forthcoming.
In my MUG, I don't think I could get someone to volunteer to do that
job. We have a hard enough time just organizing coffee at the break!!
But I do like the sentiment.
