>From the comments so far, it looks like we had a better experience than others. Yes, there seemed to be no great PR about the event, but two CUSA employees from Business Services came to our Feb 16 meeting to invite and inform us. They knew there would be discounts, but weren't positive about the specifics. (Turns out that hardware items go for cost plus 7%, and everything else in the store goes for 10% off. This discount is apparently permanent, for now.)
I attended from 4:15 to 7 PM, and while there noticed that the Apple section was very busy. Many members from TMUG showed up; we had posted the "event" on our web forum. CUSA had fresh cookies of various types and several pitchers of soft drinks.
I was happy with the discount situation as we saved about $118 on purchases for the monthly raffle (about 16% discount overall.) The two CUSA employees working Business Services were very knowledgeable about the Apple product line. The Apple rep managing the Apple store-within-a-store was also there; he is always knowledgeable and friendly.
