actually wanted to say was that I and others found your remark about
UG leaders rather insulting, implying that somehow I wasn't doing my
job. I would have been surprised it came from a UG leader except that
I know there is nothing magical about UG leaders.
Your subtlety was not lost on me. I knew exactly what you and another
person meant. Nor is your sarcasm above too subtle. However, I find
it strange that you are sensitive about this given that my message
was not directed to you, but at the two negative responses Jose had
received to a reasonable question.
This thread started with Jose asking about the difference
between .Mac and Google's services. The two initial replies he
received were only to state that Pages was an Apple program, and that
Picasa was not available for the Mac. Both replies were from
individuals that did not look beyond the obvious. That Jose knew that
Pages was not a Google program (and that he meant a similar product
that competes with iWeb), or that Jose did not ask about Picasa but
about "Picasa Web Albums".
I don't consider it useful for UG leaders to respond to a message
with only superficial consideration, and without addressing the
original question. My admonition was a pointed suggestion to these
individuals to consider their responses to messages. It seems I was
too subtle, or that you've read my replies out of context.
